Might I inquire as to the physics of how Malcolm was able to blindly parry or dodge several arrows holding a straight sword back-handed? And how he somehow teleported behind his attacker who stupidly used two hands to thrust with a one-handed sabre? And then kicked her hard in the stomach despite his momentum going in the opposite direction?

Don't just label this comment as a flame, I'd really like to know. If it's a simple "cuz it's cool," that's fine too.

Blunt Answer: The same way a teenage boy contains a demon fox inside his belly...or the same way a giant robot freezes in the north pole but still has no problem flying through space...

in short don't overthink it it's just a comic...and who knows maybe in due time all will be revealed...

The colour is looking great Yam...keep it up.

No no, I like these type of comments, they keep me thinking when I draw. For the back-handed parry, I actually thought that one through. He's managed to put his sword blade on a line that three of the arrows are traveling in, so he blocks those (whether or not they would deflect or reflect is a matter which is skipped in the next panel) and the others either missed or he's positioned his body so that they miss.

Suzan and her two-handed rapier grip is simply because (as Lillian hinted at) she doesn't really know anything about sword techinique. More will come up on that.

He did not teleport. You'll have to wait for the explanation in the story to come, as that's a secret for now. As to the last careful insight, you're absolutely correct, his momentum is totally flipped. That is simply a matter of me throwing back a few too many that night. Good call on your part.

Just curious is the Arondight a One or Two-handed sword?
From the way Malcolm seems to be holding it I guess One-handed, but the hilt sometimes looks kinda long enough for a Two-handed grip.

It's cool that you noticed that. It's actually a unusual one-handed broadsword that has a high hilt (or long grip, whichever way you want to look at it.) So, it could be used like a hand-and-a-half sword, except the shorter sword blade would be much faster at the haft. Does any of this matter? Wait and seeeee...

When I thought up with Malcolm I intended it to be a short sword(Like the swords the Romans used to use). It was Yamslayers designs that changed it to a hybrid between a short sword and a broadsword with a long handle. I loved the sword designs so that's how it looks like it looks...
